Valonu Premium Vedic Bilona Ghee – 100% Pure Organic Gir Cow Ghee
A2 Gir cow ghee is clarified butter made exclusively from the milk of indigenous Gir cows - a heritage Indian breed that naturally produces the A2 beta-casein protein. Unlike mass-produced ghee from crossbred A1 cows, A2 ghee is easier to digest, free from the inflammatory BCM-7 peptide associated with A1 milk, and nutritionally closer to human breast milk.
Valonu's A2 Gir Cow Ghee is made using the ancient Bilona method: milk is cultured into curd, hand-churned with a wooden bilona to extract butter (makkhan), and then slow-cooked on a low flame into pure, golden ghee. This process preserves all fat-soluble vitamins and beneficial fatty acids that are destroyed in commercial cream-based production.
Why Valonu - Not Just Another Ghee Brand
- 100% Pure Ghee: Made strictly from fresh A2 milk of indigenous Gir cows at our own 26-acre Jasapar gaushala. Absolutely zero preservatives, chemicals, or hidden palm oil.
- Traditional Vedic Bilona Ghee: Cultured into overnight curd and hand-churned with a wooden bilona. Slowly simmered in earthen pots on a low flame to lock in that rich, danedar Gir cow ghee texture and aroma.
- Lactose-Free Healthy Fat: The meticulous clarification process completely eliminates milk solids (lactose and casein), making it inherently safe for lactose-intolerant individuals.
- Ethical & Cruelty-Free: We practice Ahinsak milking. Calves are always fed first; we only collect the naturally surplus milk.
A2 Bilona Ghee vs. Regular Commercial Ghee
The Rule of Purity: Cream is a mechanical extract, whereas curd is a living, fermented, probiotic-rich foundation. They are not the same ghee.
Our Bilona Process - 6 Steps to Liquid Gold
-
Free-Range Grazing: Our heritage Gir cows graze freely on natural green grasses and medicinal herbs.
-
Ethical Milking: Hand-milked at dawn only after the calf is fully satisfied.
-
Culturing into Curd: Fresh milk is boiled in clay pots and set into curd overnight to multiply beneficial probiotics.
-
Wooden Bilona Churning: Curd is hand-churned bi-directionally with a traditional wooden paddle to separate fresh makkhan (butter) without structural damage.
-
Slow-Fire Clarification: The makkhan is simmered slowly over a low, steady flame in a clay degchi until moisture completely evaporates.
-
Glass Jar Sealing: Strained into sterile glass jars where it naturally crystallizes into perfect golden grains.
